Katie - Trainee Nursery Nurse

I joined the Nursery after completing an Art Degree. I have worked in Nurseries in England over holiday periods and whilst at school and am now pursuing my interests in childcare and art, hand in hand.

Bonnie - Nursery Nurse

I am qualified and have been with the Nursery for 2 1/2 years. I started working with the babies at the creches and now am with the children who are getting ready to move onto the Nursery School. I enjoy creative activities with the children and being outdoors on adventures.

Laura - Nursery Manager

Having been with the Nursery for 10 years I am now the proud recipient of a Professional Development Award in Childcare which I widely recognised as the highest qualification that you can hold in this area and has really opened my eyes to the wider educational aspects of childcare. I work flexibly so have four long days each week with a treasured day off to recharge my batteries after the energy and enthusiasm of the 2-3 year old children!

Jill - Nursery Nurse

I have worked with the Nursery for 5 years, as well as having worked as a childminder and within a playgroup. I especially enjoy working within a nursery setting. I am the mother of 3 grown up children. I also attend courses to ensure that I am up to date in my training and the ever changing world of childcare development and education.

Lesley - Senior Nursery Nurse

I have been with the Nursery since July 2000 and I am SVQ III qualified in Childcare and Education. I have been working art Beaverhall Road for a year, prior to that I worked with the babies. I really enjoy the activities we do at the Nursery the messier the better! Baking and Project work are my favourites and I love the way I can plan to do an activity and the children take it to another level or off in another direction and I am free to respond and go with it. There’s not many jobs that you can just keep going with an activity because everyone is having fun and learning at the same time!

I have just joined the Nursery in November 2006 directly from school. I am enrolled to commence my SVQ Level 2 qualification and am excited at starting my career in childcare. As I am working with staff that have been with the Nursery for a long time I am able to learn from their experience and knowledge and this will prove very useful when completing college assignments!
